Override a Brand Setting on One Graphic
Use the Card style panel to restyle a single graphic — its background, or the size, color, and font of any individual element — without touching your global brand.
Your brand kit is global — change a token and every template re-skins. But when one graphic needs to break from the brand, you don't have to touch the brand at all: the Card style panel overrides styling on just the current card, right down to a single element.
#Overview
Open any template and look under its content fields for the Card style panel. It works at two levels:
- Whole card — set a one-off Background color for this card, and scale all its text together with Text size (all).
- Each item — every element on the card is listed individually. Text lines get a font dropdown, a color picker, and a typable pixel size; decorative shapes (underlines, dots, dividers, panels) get a color picker. The eye button hides an element entirely (the layout reflows to close the gap), and ↺ resets just that item.
None of this touches your global brand. Your other graphics keep re-skinning from the brand kit; only this card carries the exception.
#Step-by-Step
- Load the template and fill in your content.
- In the Card style panel, change the background or adjust any listed element — the preview updates live.
- Export, or save the card as a creation or preset — the styling is stored with it and renders identically in the MP4.
- To undo an experiment, use ↺ on one item or Reset all changes to return the whole card to brand.

#Best Practices
Reach for the Brand workspace when the change should apply to everything, and Card style when it's a one-off. If you build a one-off look you'll reuse, save it as a preset — the override rides along, so you never rebuild it.
#Common Mistakes
The classic mix-up is changing the global brand to restyle one clip (then forgetting to change it back). You no longer need to: Card style is the per-graphic override. Also note a hidden element isn't deleted — hit the eye again (or ↺) and it returns.
