Create Your Account
Sign up with an email and password to export MP4s, sync your brand kit, and save presets — plus what you can still do signed out.
#Overview
An account is what lets HeyMotion hand you a file. Exporting an MP4 requires being signed in — the free plan includes 5 exports a month, which is what the counter needs an account to count against. Signing in also syncs your brand kit to the cloud and lets you save presets — named snapshots of a template and its content that appear in your sidebar for one-click reuse. Sign-up is a quick email-and-password step inside the studio.
#When to Use It
Create an account before you plan to export anything. You can look around first without one — see the note below for exactly where the line sits.
You can browse and build without an account; you need one to export. The template library, editing fields, and playing your card back on the stage all work signed out. The moment you press Export MP4, HeyMotion asks you to sign in or create a free account. Creating one is free and takes a moment.
#Before You Begin
You'll need a working email address you can check, and a password of at least 6 characters. That's the only requirement. Sign-up happens right inside the studio — there's no separate registration site to visit.
#Step-by-Step Instructions
#1. Open the studio
Go to https://heymotion.io/app.
#2. Open the Account panel
In the edit panel on the right, click the 👤 Account toggle to expand the account controls.
#3. Enter your email and password
Type the email address you want to use and choose a password of six or more characters.
#4. Sign up
Choose the sign-up option and submit. HeyMotion creates your account and sends a confirmation email.
#5. Confirm your email
Email confirmation is required. New accounts must be confirmed before you can sign in. Open the email from HeyMotion and click the confirmation link. Until you do, sign-in won't work.
#6. Sign in
Once confirmed, return to the 👤 Account panel and sign in with the same email and password. Your brand kit will now sync to the cloud, and the Save as preset option becomes available.
#What an account gives you
| You get | What it means |
|---|---|
| MP4 export | The Export MP4 button produces a file. Free accounts get 5 exports a calendar month at 720p with a small watermark; paid plans lift both. |
| Cloud-synced brand kit | Your colors, fonts, logo, and background are stored to your account and load on any device you sign in from. |
| Saved presets | Name a template + its content as a preset; it appears under My presets in the sidebar. Click to load, or use the small x to delete. |
| Same login across System Prompt AI | Your HeyMotion account is the same account used across System Prompt AI sign-in. |
Forgotten your password later on? There's a Forgot password? link under the sign-in fields — it emails you a single-use link that brings you back with a Set a new password form. Full steps are in Account Settings.
Changing your email, social login, and account deletion are planned but not in the app yet. See Account Settings for the current gaps and how to get help in the meantime.
#Best Practices
Use an email you check regularly, since confirmation is required before your first sign-in. Set your brand kit right after you confirm — it's the highest-value thing an account preserves, and everything you build afterward inherits it.
#Common Mistakes
The two most common early snags are a password shorter than six characters (it will be rejected) and trying to sign in before clicking the confirmation link (it won't work until the email is confirmed).
#Troubleshooting
The confirmation email didn't arrive. First, check your spam or junk folder — automated confirmation mail often lands there. Wait a few minutes, since delivery isn't always instant, and confirm you typed your email address correctly. If it still hasn't shown up, see Browser Requirements to rule out a browser or connectivity issue, then reach out at support@heymotion.io.
